Florence Performing Arts Association Back in 1980, a group of Florence folks got together to explore ways to bring first-quality, affordable entertainment to town. Their efforts soon paid off, tickets were sold, and 3 classical musical groups came to Florence. A sold-out audience enjoyed those first concerts, which were held in a local school auditorium. Years of more successful concerts followed. From the original 3 concerts per year, the season grew to 4, then 6, then to the present 8-concert series....

Last Resort Players Back in 1993, the Last Resort Players presented it’s first community theater production under a circus tent in a park in Florence, Oregon. A melodrama entitled "Logger's Lament," was just the beginning for Florence's blossoming community theater group....
